Cooking Recipe Ingredients
  • 4 nice pears
  • 0.66 lbs. sugar
  • 2 cinnamon canes
  • 2 cloves
  • 1 pint white wine (Chateau de l'Hospitalet 95)
  • 1 pint water

As a first step, prepare syrup by mixing equal portions of white wine and water. Add 30% of sugar to it, in relation to total amount of liquid in it. Once the syrup is been prepared, add cloves and cinnamon sticks to it. Now take fresh pears and peel them. After they are peeled over totally, poach them up in syrup when it starts boiling. Allow them to get cooled completely in syrup. This will take around 10 to 15 minutes. Once the pear pieces are completely dipped in syrup then take them out. Cut these pears into equal sized slices. For serving, take one serving platter and place on scoop of vanilla over it. On top of the ice cream place cut pear pieces over it. Finally, decorate your dish with cinnamon powder and prepared syrup with it. In the end, sprinkle pepper over it and serve. this dessert recipe is just what i needed! i've tried flambeed apples, but for this one, i think the grainy texture of the pair made it unique. also, the sprinkled pepper is new to me, but it worked out fine. my guests loved it too.
