Duck carpaccio - a different form of non-vegetable item
Duck carpaccio is a non-vegetable recipe and is made of duck meat. The meat of duck is served by cooking the thin slices of duck meat. The duck carpaccio looks very attractive and is a tasty item. The duck is an animal which is amphibious, that is it can live in water as well as land. It has wings with the help of which it can fly also. Duck carpaccio is very good in taste and also has high nutritional value. Basically duck carpaccio is a western recipe but it is now popular worldwide.
The material needed for making duck carpaccio is given below
First of all take one duck breast, but the skin of the duck should be removed before cooking it. Take one tablespoon of finely chopped herbs. Then take 50 ml of vinegar (balsamic) and then add extra olive oil that has flavor of rosemary. Salt for taste should be added to give it a good taste.
Duck breast differs according to the variety of the duck. One thing is common in the entire duck breast and that is it has high fat contents in it. The high fat in breast helps in keeping the duck breast soft and tasty. The recipe duck carpaccio is rich in fats and the pan needs frequent cleaning. Duck carpaccio can be served by mixing fruits like orange, grapes and plums into it. It can also be served by frying it in tandoori grills.
For making delicious duck carpaccio one should choose fresh duck meat and the knife for cutting duck needs to be sharp. The sharp knife would be able to cut the duck easily and properly. Another good tip regarding the duck carpaccio recipe is that one should freeze the meat before cutting it into slices. The duck meat should be placed into the freezer half an hour in advance as frozen duck meat is easier to cut.
The method for cooking duck carpaccio is simple, first of all apply salt and pepper on to the duck meat. Take frying pan that is non-sticking in nature. Heat the pan at medium flame. After the pan is hot, fry the duck meat for minimum of half minute. Now transfer the duck meat into a dish that is shallow. Whip the olive oil and vinegar with herbs, place the duck into pan. Now cut the duck into thin slices, again add pepper and oil into the radicchio. Heat pan at high temperature and fry it for 1 minute from both upward and downward side.
As the color of the radicchio starts getting changed, assemble radicchio in to a plate and put fried slices of duck on it. One can add juice of the marinade on it to increase the taste of duck carpaccio. Finally the duck carpaccio should be put into the dish so that it appears attractive.
First of all arrange cucumber slices in salad plates and mix the lemon juice into it. Mix mustard oil, olive oil, pepper and salt to make vinaigrette. Put salmon over cucumbers to make the duck carpaccio look eye-catching. One can serve the duck carpaccio instantly after cooking it, or one can put duck carpaccio in freezer and then serve it.
